Burr walnut front and top with inlaid Tunbridge type parquetry straps and canted edges.
Inlaid brass escutcheon and cartouche.
New green tooled leather writing surface.
Pair of moulded glass screw top inkwells,
Three secret drawers inside the upper cavity, the spring loaded cover opened by lifting the inkwell divider.
In very good bright sound condition with little wear and tear from use, no significant damage or repair.
The underside of the lower cover with some shrinkage splits and rippling of the veneer, one blue ribbon retainer snapped.
