Victorian mahogany veneered tapered dome top double compartment tea caddy, circa 1840
The edges with boxwood stringing, front and lid inlaid with formal panels, ebony escutcheon.
Original pen decorated worn green paper lining to the lid and foil compartments lining.
No indication that inner lids were ever present.
In very good sound condition, signs of age, use and wear, still very presentable with rich colours.
7,3/8'' x 4,1/8'' x 5'' or 187mm x 104mm x 126mm
