Stunning Georgian Jewellery Box 1820

Description

A stunning converted jewellery or watch box. The exterior is in a superb condition with no defects at all. It’s made from an array of woods. The centre inlaid fan is made from sycamore wood then working outwards from the centre fan you have burr walnut, partridge wood, boxwood, coromandel, boxwood and ebony stringing and then finally more partridge wood. It rare indeed to find this level of mixed woods all in one box - a real stunning collectors example. The interior has been completely fitted out with compartments to a high standard. It can be used for watches as shown or jewellery. 3 Watch cushions are available to come with the box at no extra cost. At the front is a lift out lid made from burr walnut for extra storage. The watches do not comes with the box! However a fully functioning lock and key does! It dates to Georgian c.1820. A super quality box.
