Description

An impressive large example of a late Victorian jewellery box dating to around 1880. Perfect for either a lady or gentleman the box is clad in gorgeous glossy cognac coloured crocodile skin.

The top-notch quality of the box can be seen from the long brass piano hinge and quality hinges to each end keeping the lid upright when open, another sign of quality is the Bramah lock (alas no key. There is a removable tray in cognac coloured leather and silk taffeta.

Excellent condition measuring 10" x 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" tall.
