Description

A stunning Georgian fully fitted jewellery box. The primary exterior wood is a figured walnut with an incredible burr and a super nature grain that really does set this box above the rest. I never come across grain on this level before! It’s in a completely perfect condition through out the exterior and interior. It has a very large fan sycamore inlay on the centre lid. Around the edging is ebony banding and inlay done to a nice high quality. The lock and key work perfectly. The interior has been hand crafted to a high level comprising of four compartments at the front which can be used for either watches or jewellery. Behind that is a fitted tray for jewellery and a ring roll. The tray lifts out to reveal more storage. A stunning piece and a real collectors item. The box dates to Georgian 1800.
