Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1800s.
Around the base of the box is a decorative band of parquetry inlay. There is a diamond shaped Ivory escutcheon to the front which houses the working tasseled key.
The interior has been lined in a vibrant hand marbled paper, clean and ready for use.
Excellent condition, measuring 11 1/4" wide x 8 1/4" deep x 6 1/2" tall at rear.
