Antique Scottish Pewter Table Snuff Mull by John Durie, 1830-1868.

Description:

Antique Scottish pewter table deer's foot snuff mull by John Durie of Edinburgh who worked 1830-1868. The snuff mull has a pewter hinged lid to the top, the makers mark can be clearly seen inside the lid.

Condition:

Excellent condition, the pewter is lightly polished with a pleasing silver grey finish. There is a very small crack to the underside of the deer's foot that can be seen in the image.

Repairs: There are no repairs that I could detect.

Size:

Length: 3.00 in (7.70cm).

depth: 1.50in (3.8cm).

Height: 1.75in (4.50cm).

Weight: 107 grams.

Cotterell: Old Pewter: Its Makers and Marks - OP1477.
