Burr Walnut Brass Bound Writing Slope 1870

Description

Here we have a stunning example of a Victorian writing slope made from an attractive burr walnut with brass bounding around the edging. It’s in great original condition through out. It comprises of a brass inlay to the centre lid and the escutcheon to the front. As you open the box you’re greeted with the slope section which is all completely original and in great shape. Two brass lid ink wells come with the slope. Many compartments for storage including the secret drawers hidden underneath, I nice touch. This writing slope dates to Victorian 1870 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
