Tunbridge Writing Slope C.1880

Description

Here we have a lovely example of a writing slope made from figured walnut with an array of inlay tunbridge ware through out. All in a decent complete condition. A selection of inlaid woods include sycamore, tulipwood, mahogany and ebony. It comprises of a brass inlay and brass escutcheon. The interior welcomes you to the writing slope section with the original leather and a glass ink well to the front. It dates to the Victorian period of 1880 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
