Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in South Staffordshire during the eighteenth century, Bilston enamel boxes are decorative copper containers coated in vitreous enamel, frequently featuring hand-painted scenes, animals, or sentiments.

Craftsmen hammered thin sheets of copper into shape before applying multiple coats of vitreous enamel glaze, which was kiln-fired and decorated with hand-painted enamel pigments before fitting metal mounts.

Authentic period pieces display copper alloy mounts with hand-fitted metal rims, age-appropriate surface wear, minor hairline stress fractures in the enamel, and detailed hand-painted decoration typical of eighteenth-century techniques.

These small decorative objects function well when arranged on a sideboard top, bookshelf, or mantelpiece tray to add historical detail and subtle colour to a decorative scheme.

Dust gently using a soft, dry microfibre cloth, keeping the container away from water and harsh chemical cleaners that may penetrate micro-fractures or corrode metal fittings.
