The box opens to a burr walnut interior with a replaced green leather writing surface which has blind and gold tooling. The box has a removable walnut pen tray with space for 2 ink pots and working brass lock with key. The top hinged fall opens to reveal a lined interior with 2 drawers, the fall opens for stationary storage. PLEASE NOTE - Trinity House boxes were made by lighthouse keepers while serving offshore to while away the time.
