Sheraton Mahogany Tea Caddy 1790

Description

Here we have a lovely twin lid tea caddy made from mahogany dating to the Sheraton period 1790-1800. It’s a nice example made with boxwood and ebony inlaid fan on the centre lid and the front. It also has a star inlay on the side and the inside lid. The interior comprises of two lift out lids made from mahogany. This is an early example coming with a fully functioning lock and key.
