Victorian Burr Walnut Writing Slope with Bramah Lock

Description

An excellent quality burr walnut veneered writing slope. Brass bound and with single brass line inlay to the top and front with vacant plaque to the lid with brass escutcheon plate housing the Bramah lock with original brass working key.

Inside there's a locking mechanism for the external side drawer with flush military style handles, the locking top (with working key) writing board opening to reveal three 'secret" drawers. Fitted with space for inkwells, nibs, pen tray and stationery compartments.

Superb burgundy tooled goatskin skiver.

Size: 19.3/4" (505mm) long x 10.1/2" (275mm) deep x 8" (203mm) high
