Description

A beautiful vanity box fully fitted and made from an attractive burr walnut wood. It’s got a mother of pearl inlay on the centre lid and a mother of pearl escutcheon. The two small black dots on the lid is the burr of the wood. The inside comprises of the vanity section with various glass bottles and jars with silver plated lids, one is however hallmarked as silver. The lid comprises of a reversible mirror and a stationery pocket. It has a pull out side draw for extra storage of jewellery etc. This example dates to the Victorian period 1880 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
