Rosewood Ladies Box Victorian 1840

Description

Here we have a lovely rosewood ladies box in great all around condition. It has a brass plaque inlaid to the centre of the lid and a brass escutcheon. The interior comprises of a mirror to the back of the lid in which behind that is the maker’s label – “Spiers and Son – 28 High street Oxford”. At the front we have a lift out tray and two glass ink wells all original to the box. It dates to early Victorian and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
