A Stunning Oval Mahogany Tea Caddy C.1830

Description

Here we have an absolute stunning oval tea caddy in a super condition all around. The main exterior wood is mahogany. It has boxwood and satinwood banding and stringing. The two inlays are very unusual and ones I’ve never come across before and are made from boxwood. It has a bone escutcheon with a working lock and key. A truly eye catching unique example which looks fantastic from every angle. The interior comprises of a mahogany lid with a brass handle. Dating to late Georgian 1830.
