Also Brass corners on the inside. With a full length drawer in mahogany underneath, it has a locking pin. This slope has a brass plaque in the lid which has not been engraved. As you can see from the picture it has a brass arm to create an angle when the slope is closed. At the front of the slope there is a pen compartment - unusually with a tag for lifting out (there is normally an angled piece of wood for this). I think this is probably because this piece has three secret drawers, which are really well hidden. This style of slope doesn't usually have drawers like this, we have never seen it before.
