Description

A wonderful vintage wooden parquetry puzzle box, circa 1930's. This lovely box is nicely decorated with a galleon ship vignette in the centre on one side and a geometric star vignette on the other.

At first glance one wonders how the box opens and this is the puzzle (the images help explain). Instructions are: With the Galleon facing upwards slide the moveable middle section on the left side of the box, forward. Next, on the right side of the box slide the whole panel downwards. The top of the box can then slide over from left to right. Reverse these actions to close.

A fabulous item, would make a superb gift for anyone intrigued by puzzles!

Condition: In lovely vintage condition - no chips to the wood and lovely and clean.
