Technical Description
A WMF art nouveau silver plate Jewellery Box. The body is a rectangular chest with cast floral decoration. The lid is organic in style continuing the theme, a finial on top. The piece is supported by four scroll feet and is marked below as follows; WMF EP 03.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the ‘DELAG’ Zeppelin dirigible, Deutschland, made the first commercial passenger flight from Friedrichshafen to Düsseldorf. A nine hour flight.
