Lovely Victorian 'Oakleaf & Acorn' Tunbridgeware Box

Description

A wonderful Victorian Tunbridgeware rosewood box. The decoration is particularly pretty and interesting, the parquetry design representing oak leaves and acorns in the most gorgeous coloured hues of varying brown tones which add to the lovely appearance.

The box is nicely proportioned, rectangular in shape with a lift off lid that sits nicely in place.

Would make a lovely trinket / jewellery box.

 

Condition: There are a few pieces missing in places (hardly noticeable unless scrutinized closely, which we mention for accuracy - see last 3 images).

 

Measurements Height: 2.6 cm Width: 15 cm Depth: 4.9 cm

Weight: 54 grams
