Gorgeous Georgian Birds-eye Maple Wood Box

Description

Gorgeous late Georgian birds-eye maplewood veneered box of high quality and in MINT condition. All veneered on mahogany which is a sure sign of the highest quality. Lovely veneered used. Original brass stop hinges, working lock and key and embossed brass escution. The inside has a very nice red silk buttoned inner top, the buttons being very nice quality brass ones with ropework type edging. The inside is plain mahogany. No damage at all and a very nice colour with waxed finish.
