Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Sheraton Revival furniture, popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, reproduces late 18th-century Neoclassical designs. Key characteristics include geometric symmetry, slim rectilinear forms, fine mahogany or satinwood veneers, delicate marquetry, and slender tapered legs.

Craftsmen typically utilised mahogany or walnut as the primary structural timber, adorned with decorative veneers of satinwood, boxwood, or rosewood. Cabinet doors often incorporated original blown float glass panels held in place with wood or lead astragal glazing bars.

Authentic pieces exhibit precise cabinet-making techniques, such as hand-cut dovetail joints on drawers, fine wood inlay flush with the surface timber, and natural aged patination on interior surfaces and brass hardware.

A corner cabinet efficiently utilises awkward architectural nooks to provide vertical storage and display space. Combining dark mahogany tones with lighter modern wall shades creates a balanced visual contrast while keeping floor space clear.

Dust surfaces regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners. To nourish the timber and retain lustre, apply a high-quality beeswax polish sparingly once or twice a year, buffing in the direction of the wood grain.
