ANTIQUE #SA711041

Antique Silver Triple Stamp Box

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

A fine example of a solid sterling silver triple stamp box, dating from the end of the Victorian era.

It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1899. The hinge is good, the gilding inside worn in places but still evident and the inside cover is well-attached. The base looks to be tortoiseshell but it is hard to be sure without removing it. The stamps inside the lid have retained their bright colours.

There is a small crease on the corner of the lid, otherwise the silver is is in a fine condition.
