Description

A stunning William IV / very early Victorian tortoiseshell double compartment tea caddy, with pewter stringing and silver mounted cartouche to the lid and matching original escutcheon. The lid opens to reveal two compartments with beautiful mother of pearl knobs, intricately cut to floral design. The lid is lined in the original claret velvet. Complete with original lock and key. Circa 1840.

In absolutely beautiful condition, a wonderful addition to any collection. Photographs do not do this piece justice.
