1830 and is of superb quality. It has fine boxwood string inlay, has a diamond shaped key escutcheon with key and working lock and this quality piece stands on small turned bun feet. The interior has two removable tea compartments with hinged lids and the central section has a glass mixing bowl. The sides have stunning ring turned handles and this stunning antique tea caddy has aged to a warm Rosewood shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
