Fine 18th Century Scottish Oval Tea Caddy

Description

FINE 18th century George 3rd Scottish oval tea caddy of a gorgeous colour. The main wood is either satin birch or possibly silver birch with tulipwood cross banding and fancy ebony and boxwood chequered stringing. The caddy has its original single hinge and original brass lock. The interior has the remains of the original foil lining still present. A few very minor old cross banding repairs otherwise very good condition. Nothing major. Lovely colour with original patination and waxed finish.
