Victorian Serpentine Papier Mache Tea Caddy

Description

This antique serpentine front tea caddy is beautifully decorated with painted flowers, exotic birds and gilding and stands on original shaped feet. The lid lifts to reveal twin lidded compartments. The condition of this 19th Century tea caddy is good, as shown in the photographs, there are couple of small nibbles to the front corner, these are as can be expected of an item that has been in use for almost 150 years. The quality of the decoration is very high and typical of the Victorian period. A beautiful gift.
