A good quality late 19th century fitted lady's DRESSING/JEWELLERY CASE in lovely original condition.

The well-figured coromandel wood case, with its engraved plaque dated 1885, opens to reveal a fully fitted interior with ten bottles and jars, all with engraved silver tops, arranged around a central pad with original tools and implements.

Within the lid is the 'secret' hidden mirror (& pouch); to one side is a spring loaded drawer whilst within the base is a well-fitted jewellery drawer ~ also spring loaded. Complete with its original working Bramah lock & key. Hallmarked: 1884. 12ins wide.
