Description

This is an attractive hand painted Papier Mache lidded barrel shape jar from Kashmir dating from around 1900. The jar is in good original condition with attractive tree and flower painting to the body of the pot.

The jar has a fitted lid with large finial. This is most likely to originate from the Shrinagar region famous for this type of work.

The jar measures 19 cms in height and is 12 cms in diameter.
