This is an early 20th Century Burmese red lacquered betel box. It is of cylindrical form, intricately painted allover with traditional designs. There are two internal red lacquered trays.

There are cracks to the lacquer to the centre of the inside of each section. There is a chip to the inside of the lip of one of the inner trays.
