Flamed Mahogany Writing Slope C.1820

Description

A lovely example of a decent sized writing slope made from a flamed mahogany with birds eye maple banding. It also has decorative brass banding around the box with a brass inlay on the centre lid. The interior comprises of the writing area with a leather section and an ink well made from solid glass. It has a couple of sections for storing writing materials etc. This example dates to the regency period c.1820 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
