Description

This is a very pretty Indian Kashmir Papier Mache trinket box from the Shrinagar region dating from the early 20th century. The lidded box is a most unusual and decorative spiral ribbed shaped with a wonderfully hand painted and lacquered design of millefiori and gilt leaves typical of the region. This is in excellent condition and measures 11 cms high by 10 cms in diameter.
