Michael Johnson Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The centre lid is home to the iconic stag inlay which is very rare for this period. The interior comprises of two lids also made from mahogany with boxwood bounding. A truly stunning example. It dates to the Georgian period c.1790 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
