Rare Tunbridge Ware Sewing Box C.1870

Description

A gorgeous attractive sewing box made from a variety of inlaid woods. It’s in superb condition through out. The combination of woods range from mahogany, satinwood and rosewood. It has a makers label on the base naming ‘Friend.s which is original. The box sits on its four original rosewood bun feet. The interior consist of all the sewing equipment and a tray which lifts out. The box dates to Victorian c.1870 and comes with a fully functioning lock and key.
