In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Inside, the box is fitted with a good quality green leather writing surface with a gold tooled edge. It comes with a glass inkwell and a pen tray.
The box is in very good condition for its age with a beautiful patina and displays very nicely. The leather writing surface is in excellent condition. The glass inkwell is missing its cap and there are some general signs of age and use, some knocks and light scuffs and some old ink stains but nothing detrimental. Overall the box displays very well.
The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions at all please ask. Nationwide delivery £10.
