A pretty William IV or early Victorian SEWING BOX of compact size, in rosewood and profusely inlaid with mother-of-pearl.

It opens to reveal the fully fitted interior with its full set of six mother-of-pearl cotton reels; matching tape measure; waxer and needle-cleaner, plus set of 6 MOP winders and two thimbles, all arranged around the central pad of tools and implements. All these implements are original and include a silver pencil. Inside are various other interesting sewing-related items¦ 10ins wide; 8ins deep; 5ins high (25 x 20 x 12.5cms)
