fine quality Victorian leather stationery box in great untouched condition. The box is in Morocco leather which has been beautifully tooled and gilded. The leather is in very good condition throughout and has a great patina. The box has obviously faded and worn in areas but that gives a wonderful country house look. The interior of the box is also all original with yellow silk lining and padded fabric to the lid. The box even contains the original working key. This is a great example of it’s type in truly exceptional untouched condition. C.1890.
