Description

Superb, high quality Victorian burr walnut veneered stationery box or desk top box. Unusual shaped one, I haven't seen this design before. Ogee shaped lift up lid reveals fully fitted interior. The front part has a lift out pen tray with a pair of silver plated top ink bottles to either side. The box also, rarely, still has it's original walnut rolling rule with it which sits in place at the front.

The box is in very good condition with no veneer damage or repairs but the small brass shaped escution is missing. The box is the most gorgeous colour with deep original patination.

A really nice object to sit on a desk.
