Antique Leather Casket Bronze Mounts

1900 - 1920
Description

This is an attractive gilt tooled leather casket dating from the early 20th century. The casket has bronze metal mounts and has its original lock but no key. Inside the casket is lined with a rich red silk damask. The leather is attractively gilded and is in great condition save for a small nudge to the edge of the right of the lid as photographed. This would be perfect as a jewellery box or to store precious keepsakes. The casket measures 32 cms long by 23 cms wide and 19 cms deep.
