19th Century Antique Painted Pine Deed Box

This very original and clean painted pine antique deed box was used by Lord Kenlis in 1868, the year he was High Sherif of Westmoreland, now part of Cumbria. He was an Anglo-Irish Conservative politian. This antique pine box is in the original black paint and decorated with the original white lettering and the top is held with the period iron hinges.
