Early 18th Century Walnut Oyster Box

Description

Lovely early 18th century walnut oyster veneered box in un-touched original condition. The top is lovely with lage oyster walnut veneer with a walnut banding round the edge. The sides and front are also veneered in walnut oysters with the back being the original elm. The box retains all its original metal fittings and has a working key for the lock. The inside has all its original oak divisions and it has its original red ochre finish.

The box is a good colour with good patination and waxed finish.
