Burr Walnut Vanity Box C.1870

Description

A beautiful all around fully kitted vanity box. It’s made from a charming burr walnut wood giving off an attractive grain. Immaculate inside and out. There is a inlaid mother of pearl decorative escutcheon. The interior comprises of a stationery pocket inside the lid which can be reversed to a mirror. There are 12 bottles all in great condition with engraved silver plate lids. There is a bottom jewellery drawer which is activated by the push button near the hinge. Everything is original and dates to the Victorian period c.1870. Comes with fully functioning lock and key. A great collectors example.
