A good quality early 19th. Century apothecary Box. Constructed from solid mahogany with sunken brass handles to the top and front. The lid lifts to reveal the red velvet lined interior with 16 various sized cut glass bottles. The base draw is accessed via a brass pin and contains brass and steel balance scales, glass pestle and mortar, 8 weights, spatchuler and various small glass bottles. The whole in very good condition with one possibly replaced but antique glass bottle and the box benefits from a working lock and key. Dimensions:- Height…8’’/ 20.5cm. Width…9.5’’/ 24cm.
