Description

A superb example of a Georgian writing slope made from solid mahogany. Its made to a high standard with full brass bounding around the edging. Makers label inside made from Mechi of London. Inlaid brass handles on the sides. The interior is completely original with the velvet writing area and two secret drawers with a glass ink well. Comes with a fully functioning lock and key and dates back to the Georgian period c.1800. A charming example.
