Fully Fitted Rosewood Vanity Box C.1820

Description

A lovely fully fitted vanity box made from rosewood. It’s a campaign box so would have been used for travelling. Brass bounded around the edging for great strength and durability. The sides comprises of two inlaid brass carrying handles. Below one of the handles it has a side jewellery draw with a lock and key. The main interior is kitted out with all the original materials and a dark red velvet lining to the lid. Comes with a spare key for the box. An early vanity dating to the regency period c.1820.
