Antique Edwardian Solid Silver Pot Pourri Box - Comyns

1900 - 1920
Description

A lovely example of an antique solid sterling silver Pot Pourri Box.

It is clearly hallmarked on the side for London 1904, with the maker's mark of William Comyns & Sons Ltd. There is also a partial hallmark on the lid.

The pierced and embossed cover is decorated with a coaching scene with figures. The hinge is tight. There are a couple of marks inside the box but otherwise it is in a splendid condition.
