A truly wonderful early Victorian fully-fitted GAMES COMPENDIUM, with too many original features and contents to list fully here.

Briefly: The box itself is of finest figured coromandel wood, inset with an engraved brass and porcelain panel to the centre of the lid; amazing large engraved cast brass side handles; ivory chess; draughts; backgammon; markers; shakers; dice and pegs. Gilt engraved Bezique and Cribbage scoring boards and a superb coromandel and ivory chess/backgammon board within the lid.

To the base is the spring-loaded lower drawer with four packs of original cards (all unused); full set of dominoes; counters and other items.
