This is a beautifully made, Scandinavian antique pine box that dates frm the early 19th century. In very good, original condition and complete with the original lid. Traditional pegged method of making and painted in the original folk art style. These boxes were given as marriage boxes to brides. Very decorative and useful. Dates from around 1840.
