This is a late Victorian writing slope. It is encased in black leather with silver plated mounts. There is a shield shaped escutcheon to the front. The box opens to revel the fitted interior, which is tan leather and what I believe to be simulated macassar ebony.The box comes with an old pencil, fountain pen and a bone letter opener.One of the silver plated mounts is loose and needs gluing or pinning down. There is pencil writing to the inside of the box.All items come with free shipping throughout the UK.
