Good Quality Regency Rosewood & Mother of Pearl Jewellery Box

Description

This is a super quality Regency period jewellery box with a good sarcophagus shape. The solid rosewood casket is in beautiful condition, attractively inlaid throughout with decorative mother of pearl.

The jewellery box has a good tapering casket shape with projecting angles to the complex design of the lid and a beaded decorative edge in the egg and dart style. The box is is raised on substantial disc feet that are in solid turned rosewood.

This is a good sized piece in excellent order measuring 31 cms by 26 cms and is 16 cms in height.
